The Promise (Where We Are Bound) [Original song], duet with RUTH (Mezzo) and RICHARD TAYLOR (Baritone), just married, survey their new farm in 1639 Cape Cod. Act I, Scene 2.
- Mother’s Eyes [Original song], duet with JIM (Baritone) and ROSE MORTON (Mezzo), theatrical, solo and single versions. JIM and ROSE worry about becoming caregivers to their granddaughter, LILLIE, after she loses both of her parents. Act II, Scene 19, present-day Pittsburgh.

Water Is Wide [Traditional song, additional lyrics], duet with JASHER (Bari-Tenor) and DOLLY TAYLOR (Alto), 1778 to 1811, Massachusetts. The couple look back on their lives as they prepare for the long and dangerous journey to make a new life in the backwoods of 1811 Ohio. Act I, Scene 8.

Rye Whiskey [Traditional song, additional lyrics], comedic, solo number. [Additional lyrics.] DEVILLA TAYLOR (Bari-Tenor) is celebrating the election of President McKinley when he is arrested for driving his team of horses while intoxicated. Act II, Scene 13.

Wishing ~ Tree :
A new musical play,
inspired by historic events.
"Wishing ~ Tree" chronicles a family's journey through American history. From their origins in 1639 Cape Cod to their present-day life in Pittsburgh, a young girl discovers her roots through her grandfather's heartfelt stories, brought to life through original, folk and cover songs.
"Wishing ~ Tree" features 14 original songs and 12 traditional folk or cover songs arranged and orchestrated in the sound and spirit of traditional American music for five vocalists and a 10-piece ensemble of flute (doubling piccolo), oboe, two fiddlers, guitar, bass, two keyboards and two percussionists.
